Closing of Clinic Week One

"This is the thing that the Christian has - we have faith." Dr. Carlo
As I reflect on the last week, words cannot easily describe what all I have learned. We have seen patients of all variety in terms of diagnosis, age, or maturity of their relationship with Christ. I have been continually blown away by the family support some of our patients have. We have had parents who carry their children each day to come see us, families who carry their grandparents in lawn chairs to see us because they can't walk, and families who are devoted to improving the function of their family members. The entire community has banded together to serve each other. Many of these people have nothing but want to do all they can to help those around them in need.
The next couple of days will be a time of transition as some people return to the United States and others are arriving in Haiti. Please pray for safety in travel and the transitions the team will need to make. Today Stevie said goodbye to Haiti for now. Tonight is the last night in Haiti for us (Ashley & Katie) and Brenna. Tomorrow Naomi and Kayla will be joining the team. Monday Tori and Tony will join the team.
There are some exciting things happening here and new connections being made that might be the beginning of new steps towards a sustainable PT medical mission here in Carrefour, Haiti. We will pray. We will step back and have faith just as Dr. Carlo reminded us tonight. The Lord always provides.
-Ashley & Katie
