Today was another day to share the love of Jesus and relationships that have developed on the mission trips. We had many persons return for follow-up visits, which is a path towards trust and bringing them to Jesus. One child had previously been seen by our team two years ago, a little boy with cerebral palsy. He doesn't walk nor move on his own, yet he had a great smile. Each time our team returns to Haiti, his mother brings him back to the clinic. It takes her 15 to 20 minutes to walk from her home on the hill, carrying Joey each trip. Although this is strenuous for Joey's mother, she doesn't complain. She lives her faith in selfless giving. She prays for Joey to learn to walk. Please pray for Joey and his mother.
Today, Joey went home with new braces, two pair of shoes and socks and a binder to help him sit up straight. Zacherie is going to find a small chair for him so Joey can get stronger by practicing getting in and out of standing. His mother is going to use a kitchen chair as his play table. He was very tired and fell asleep in Melissa's lap.
Please continue to pray for the people here so we can continue to work with the community through the churches with God's plan.
