Off to Lima, Peru!

We all made it! As a small team of only 6, we came from 3 different states and different modes of transportation to get to this point. All journeys have seemed to be uneventful (in the good way), however the international flight had many surprising treats. With the typical pillow and blanket for a late and overnight flight, they also came by soon after takeoff offering hot towelettes to wipe the airplane grimy feel off our face. They later came by with menus for a hot dinner, and afterwards they had individual sized Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to hand out! When there was about an hour left of the flight, they came by again with warm cookies. It felt close to royalty. After a full day of travel and a late night, I think we are all looking forward to a restful morning before our adventure officially begins on Sunday afternoon with the commencement meeting. Thankful for everyone’s support and prayers for the week ahead!
